Concert Hangover...part 2.
Oh, yeah, kiddies! I've got the hangover (although not as bad) and it rocks! In case you just joined us, I went to the Click Five/Big City Rock show in NY on Sunday. It was AWESOME. How so? I'm going to tell you. After getting the tickets as a surprise by my family, I begged for someone to go with me. My friends either couldn't go, or wasn't really there to ever ask them. My brother refused flat out, and it was just left to my parents to figure out who should roll with me. They were still talking about it while we were in front of Irving Plaza, where the concert was going to happen. They let me go to the line while they got film for the camera since our digital one was...crap.
I went in without them, cell in hand, just in case they called. The place was so cool, with chanderliers and it was golden inside. I made my way into the stage area, where there was no seats. AT ALL. First off, the place was small, so everyone who came in first got really close to the stage. I was in the front-ish middle, so it was all good. While I was waiting, there was these group of girls who asked to take their picture, which I did. The flash surprised all of us, into bursts of laughter. Soon, we were all talking and decided to let me hang with them, since I was alone. Soon, my mom came...to give me the camera, then left! Moms are sneaky...but good, since I could let loose. Now that the parent escort was gone, we were talking about the concert, the boys, and how much we loved them. They were from Rye...upstate chicks, and they were uber-hyper. Kinda like me, eh? I do have a magnetic personality, you know.
So, there we were, the place filling up like crazy. There were even BOYS there! Seriously...boys. WOW. We were watching this movie on the projecter they put out while we were waiting (dude...so werid...) when I heard a scream. Then there was a bunch of them. Turning to my new-found group, I asked what was up. They had no clue, except to look up, since that was what everyone else was doing. I saw nothing but a little tuff of hair, so I shrugged and thought noting of it. Then, they screamed again, so looking up I saw it was Ben. Freaking out, I took pictures. I had to...it's me, remenber? Then, it got worse once Eric popped up there. More screaming. They were hours away from performing, and I was losing my voice already. Thanks, guys. lol. Then...the lights went low., and the movie stopped. Big City Rock was ready to make good on its' name. Good news for them...they did so. Their songs were catchy and fun...just the way I like it. During one song, guess who just wanted to say hi? Ben...again. I guess he really liked us. Then again, he did bring Joey and Eric down with him...so I guess you can say...they all like us! YAY. All in all...BCR truly rocked the crowd. Their fans are crazy...I loved it. Now...we had to wait. An Half-Hour later.... the sounds of helicoppeters came on, getting louder and louder. That's when everyone started to push to get closer to the stage. I held on to one of the girl's bags, and met someone else who was moving up. That made my fangirl friend count to 7, since she had friends too, who were nice as well. Now, the moment was here....they came out in their suited glory! (Black suits with greenish-gray shirts and black ties...hot.) Then, there was, "Good Day" to start it off. "I'll Take My Chances" and "Angel to You (Devil to Me)", making us all go nuts. And now...a cute story. The first time Eric spoke to us fully (like, he wasn't intro-ing a song), he had his ears covered by his fingers, and his tounge out (which made all the girls-including me- swoon), trying to un-deaf himself. He then told us, that if we kept it up, he would totally be deaf since he had nothing in his ears. We screamed louded., knowing he loved it. Then, they went into the acoustic part of the show, sing "Time Machine" and a new song, "Mary Jane." Here's the thing to remenber when I'm telling you this for the rest of the story to make sense. "Mary Jane" is a power ballard in the end, so they go electric later. Here's when the story thickens...
So, I turned around after "Mary Jane" ended to check the time on my cell. I turned back around, and the crowd was screaming. Then I saw what was going on. Eric was hushing the crowd (he was on my side now) and then said the best sentence ever! In a whisper to the mic, and a mischivous grin on his face, he said "Are you ready to go crazy?" Response- YES! The lights went on, and that's when I (along with everyone else, of course) realized something. Um...where's Ethan? I mean, he went poof! Maybe it was supposed to happen this way, so I didn't worry...much. Then, we all learned news, from Eric. He told us that Ethan hit his eye during..."Mary Jane". That song might be sweet, but it's dangerous. With that said, Eric then asked if we would shout out that we loved Ethan. Well...we did. We do love him, you know. That done, the other four went on with "Say Goodnight"...we were singing along, but we were now with worry. We missed him! Then, just in time for "By The Way" and "I Think We're Alone Now", there was the injured, but still smiling Ethan, holding his bass like he was going to use it...and he was! YAY. This will easily go into the solos-
Joey was first, banging those drums like a madman. Girls all over screamed, ans begged to marry him. (Sorry, Liz...lol) Then, there was Ethan, totally winning my "Rock Star" moment award for still rocking out, while being hurt. At least it wasn't his fingers...that would suck more! Then we go to Ben, who killed! I had to bow. I mean...crazy...but I loved it. Then Joe came up, and...went all Hendrix on me, having his guitar behing his back, making me scream louder! I'm a screamer. Eric was last, but not least, singing his little soul out..while we were singing much louder than him. Sorry.
During "Just The Girl", Big City Rock popped up, just to return the favor before, and it was sweet. Soon...the show was going to end...but not without a BANG. Yep, it was "Catch Your Wave" Time. It was simple and nice until the end...then they went nuts! It was all...awesome. Then, after the bow, guess who had school and couldn't get autographs? Me...like I could do it. I would freak.
The show rocked all and all (if only it was longer...but they did have one album...) so, I had to share it. Here's the videos I found from YouTube, that will prove everything I just said.
Told You SO! It rocked...sorry you weren't there. If you were...cool. Yay. I'm happy. Talk to you later...
Rock On!

omg, you lucky girl, it must be awesome living in New York, all those concerts!!!
Also, I am now offically addicted to "S.O.S." thanks to you putting that clip on this site. I always sing along to it, loudly, whenever it comes on the radio in the car...I love to give my parents headaches--and I'm quite talented at doing that!
Keep up the awesome music updates, I love them!!
